Welcome from the President of ACSD

Greetings from the Pacific Northwest!  It is a distinct privilege to serve the membership of the Association for Christians in Student Development (ACSD) as we seek to promote the integration of Biblical principles within the professional practice of student affairs work and to provide support and encouragement for those engaged in this integrative work.  On this website you will find information about who we are as an organization, what we are doing, and how you can take advantage of what we offer.   
 
Our members come from many different institutions (Christ-centered, other private, and public) and represent diverse interests and functional areas.  There are a number of strategic initiatives that we are currently pursuing including furthering a research and scholarship agenda and even more fully embracing cultural diversity and competency as an organization and as one of our core values.  

Whether participating in a discussion through one (or more) of our seven Collaboratives or reading our two publications (Koinonia and Growth), our hope is that you will find the issues and dialogue within the organization to be both enriching and engaging.  Our 2010 annual conference will be held from June 7-10 at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania.  You won’t want to miss this dynamic opportunity for personal and professional enrichment so put it on your calendar now!
