Presenter: Dr. Connie Horton, Vice President for Student Affairs, Pepperdine University
Dr. Connie Horton serves as Pepperdine's Vice President for Student Affairs. Connie is a licensed psychologist whose prior roles include Counseling Center Director at both Pepperdine University and Illinois Wesleyan University and tenured faculty member at Illinois State University. Dr. Horton's Bachelor's degree in Psychology is from Pepperdine University; her Master's in Counseling is from Cal State Fullerton. She earned her doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin.

Mental health concerns have been escalating on college campuses across the country. Christian colleges are not exempt. Many students on our campuses are struggling. Certainly, there has been a dramatically increased demand on university counseling centers, but the impacts and implications cut across the work of all in Student Affairs. In this webinar, Dr. Horton will:
- present national data and literature pertaining to student mental health.
- share her own clinical and administrative experience to describe the trends, dynamics, and needs.
- provide practical applications to equip Student Affairs professionals to respond.
