Connections
The Connection experience (previously known as Excursions) will be held on Wednesday afternoon and is designed for ACSD conference attendees to connect, fellowship and enjoy an activity with colleagues which will enhance the conference experience. Please be proactive and seek out a few people with whom you would like to spend the afternoon. Transportation is provided unless otherwise noted.
Trap Shoot
Come join us for an afternoon on the range as we travel to a local sportsman’s club. This connections time activity will depart after lunch and return to campus in time for dinner. The cost is $30 per person and includes transportation, equipment and all rounds at the range.

Canoe Trip
Ready for a canoeing excursion on Indiana’s famous White River? Join the canoe trip group for a two hour river paddle on the class one river. Your adventure will be hosted by Canoe Country, located near Muncie, Indiana. (www.canoeindiana.com).

Ropes Course
Reach new personal heights on our high ropes course, complete with zip line and flying squirrel. Or join us on our low ropes course for a fun and challenging time of team building. Individuals and groups are welcome for all or any part of the time. Minimum group size: 10 participants.

Bike Trip
Please join us after lunch for a leisurely 18 mile round trip bike ride on the scenic Cardinal Greenway. The Cardinal Greenway is part of the Indiana State Rails to Trails initiative (which means no hills) and opened in 1998. Riders will be transported to the Gaston trailhead of the greenway (about a 20 minute van ride) where bikes and helmets will be provided (feel free to bring your own bike if you like). Riders will bike 9 miles to The Island of Muncie (water and snacks will be available) and after a brief break make the return ride back to the Gaston trailhead and be transported back to campus in time for dinner.

Annual Golf Outing
Do you feel like something has been missing at ACSD in recent years? Well, you can start sending emails and talking trash as an ACSD classic returns at a great venue. We will have tee times beginning at noon and running throughout the afternoon (depending on turnout). After leaving the morning session, grab your lunch and spend the afternoon on the course reconnecting with friends at The Players Club in Muncie (www.theplayersclubgolf.com). Cost includes golf, cart, range balls, refreshments and prizes for top finishers. Transportation will be available upon request (it is a 30 minute drive).

Indianapolis 500 Speedway & NCAA Museum
Gear up for an active afternoon visiting the Indianapolis 500 Speedway and the NCAA Museum. Whether wandering through the all-new NCAA Hall of Champions, or celebrating the world’s largest spectator sporting facility at the Indianapolis 500 Speedway, you can plan on returning with terrific memories. Plan for a fun afternoon exploring Indianapolis, and stop for dinner at one of the many ethnic restaurants this great city has to offer! We’ll travel back to campus for an evening filled with activities. Please join us for this fast-paced afternoon in Indianapolis!

Indianapolis Shopping
Please join us and spend a relaxing afternoon shopping and exploring Indianapolis. Whether you are window shopping or looking for something unique, Indianapolis is the perfect place to spend an afternoon. There are several different shopping experiences available between the downtown Circle Center Mall with all the usual department stores, to the unique French inspired flare of downtown Broad Ripple. There is something for everyone!
