NEW PROFESSIONALS RETREAT

FRIDAY, JUNE 01, 2012 - MONDAY, JUNE 04, 2012

Are you new to the field of Student Development? Have you been working with college students for less than 4 years? Do you enjoy hanging out with other professionals with similar passions to yours? If so, then the ACSD New Professionals Retreat might be for you!

The New Professionals Retreat (NPR) is designed for Student Development/Student Affairs/Campus Ministries professionals with one to four years of experience in the field. New professionals from Christian and secular colleges and universities from around the nation gather for several days prior to the Association of Christians in Student Development (ACSD) national conference for a weekend of teaching, sharing, learning, and encouragement from experienced Student Development professionals. Past participants have ranged from Residence Directors to Vice Presidents who were new to the work of Student Life. Participation in the retreat will challenge new professionals to explore the process of translating their faith in Christ into competent professional practice within the field of Student Development.

The cost of NPR gives you all the professional development mentioned above, the opportunity to bond with 40 other professionals in a more intimate setting & expand your support network, 3 nights/4 days lodging (Friday-Sunday nights) prior to the ACSD national conference, meals from Friday dinner through Monday breakfast, a special meeting with both the ACSD Executive committee as well as with the New Professionals Collaborative group and an NPR t-shirt. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!

  • Cost of NPR is $185 for members and $200 for non-members.
