Awards

Nominations are to submitted here by the end of February and will be reviewed by the ACSD Executive Committee. Awards will be presented at the annual conference each summer.

Nominations should highlight the nominee’s professional career, accomplishments and contributions to the field of Student Development. Please nominate a deserving colleague and help us as an organization express our gratitude and affirm those individual who have provided distinguished service.

    Boender and Bamford Award

    In 1996 our organization established the two distinguished service awards to acknowledge those who have made “outstanding contributions to ASCD and the field of Student Development.” The Ruth Bamford Award is for professionals with less than 15 years experience. The Don L. Boender Award is for professionals with more than ten years of experience.

      Lifetime of Faithfulness Award Recipients

      Created at the Fall 2002 meeting and ratified at the June 2003 meeting. It is a recognition award that exists to honor those who are retiring from the profession.

      Jane Higa Multicultural Advancement Award Recipients

      This award was established in2011 to encourage as well as recognize significant contributions toward increased understanding and promotion of multiculturalism in the Association for Christians in Student Development and home institutions. Open to all Student Affairs professionals,regardless of years in ACSD.
