One of the things that we have done here at LeTourneau University is the creation of the S.H.A.R.E. (Students Helping Area Residents Excel)program. We bring middle school students from two area middle schools to campus each Wednesday night to interact with our campus community. This program began as a tutoring effort but evolved into more of mentoring, loving, hanging out, and giving project. At the end of each year we have a banquet for the parents and the students in hope of increasing the connection and involvement of parents with their student’s educational aspirations.
