New Professionals Retreat

New Professionals Retreat 2018

BIOLA University

Are you new to the field of student development? Have you been working with college students for less than 5 years? Would you enjoy connecting and networking with other professionals with similar passions to yours? If so, then the ACSD New Professionals Retreat is for you!

The New Professionals Retreat is designed for professionals in any branch of Student Affairs-related work on their campus with four or less years of experience in the field. New professionals from Christian and secular colleges and universities will gather together on the campus of Biola University from June 1 through June 4 prior to the ACSD annual conference for a weekend of networking, shared experiences, professional development, and mentoring facilitated by a team of student development professionals with over 60 combined years of experience in the field.

Past participants have ranged from residence directors to vice presidents new to the work of student life. Retreat activities will explore topics such as integrating faith into professional life, leadership development, multicultural competency, effective supervision, developing resiliency, and best practices in student affairs. We look forward to seeing you at Biola this summer!
