GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB FUNCTION:
The admissions counselor functions as the primary contact for prospective Denver Seminary students from his/her assigned recruitment territory from initial inquiry through matriculation. In this student-facing role, counselors communicate Denver Seminary’s strengths, commitments, programs, and resources in order to increase yield, meet admissions goals, and transition students to successful study in their program. Successful admissions counselors are highly personable, hospitable, and organized, with a passion for Denver Seminary and the ability to anticipate student needs as they walk alongside students through the application, financial aid, registration, payment, and onboarding processes. Admissions counselors meet with students regularly while managing their admissions timeline and communicating efficiently and effectively before handing them off after matriculation.
