The Network Administrator is responsible for various technologies with an emphasis on network management and administration. The Administrator is also responsible for the performance quality and uptime of the campus network and related components, and manages the Systems Administrator and Tech Support Specialist. The position plays a key role in assisting the IT Director in technical strategic planning and research. The Administrator ensures a reliable, scalable and efficient network. The position’s primary duties include configuring, supporting, maintaining and forecasting of network equipment, firewall, wireless, VMware, SAN and all Windows servers for the entire campus. The Administrator provides advanced technical guidance and support to other staff as needed. The position also acts as the backup Director when the IT Director is absent.
