Position: Director of Campus Life

Job Description: The Director of Campus Life plays an important role in student life at Emmaus Bible College. As a member of the Student Life team, he or she reports directly to the V.P. and Dean for Student Life. As the Director of Campus Life, he or she works with the V.P and Dean for Student Life to ensure quality campus and spiritual life programming. The Director of Campus Life is involved in providing students with the resources they need to grow in their relationship with the Lord and experience personal development through Student Life programming.

Areas of Responsibility
• Administration
The Director of Campus Life works closely with the V.P. and Dean for Student Life to coordinate and carry out the many daily functions including budget management, committee work, student and facility management.
• Campus Activities
Provides day to day leadership and management for all student activities, clubs, and organizations as well as Intramural activities.
• Facility Management
Manage the upkeep and maintenance of the Pollard Fieldhouse and outdoor athletic fields and facilities to provide a positive and clean atmosphere and environment and coordinate along with the Athletic Director the facility usage for campus-wide events and outside guests throughout the academic year
• Spiritual formation
Work with the V.P and Dean for Student Life to coordinate and implement a vibrant daily chapel program as well as coordinate and direct Spiritual Emphasis Days and Christian Ministry Seminars.
• Residential Life Services
Assist the Student Life office with student training, orientation programming, student discipline and retention.
• Academic Programs
Collaborate with the V.P and Dean of Student Life to develop curriculum for both a freshman Transitions course as well as a Senior Seminar course.
• Career Services
Develop a strategic plan for a vibrant Career Services program i.e.
Key Skills and Knowledge Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Master’s degree in student affairs or related field preferred
• 3-5 years’ experience in student life or related field
• Knowledge of the Word of God, as demonstrated by its proper application in life
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills
• Knowledge of the Word of God, as demonstrated by its proper application in life
• A commitment to the local church and demonstrated relationship with Jesus Christ
• A calling and commitment to the ministry of mentoring and leading young people
• Ability to develop and implement curriculum
• A calling and commitment to ministry of mentoring and leading college students
• Flexible schedule (some nights and weekends required including weekends away)
• An understanding of student issues
• Ability to develop, organize, and execute events

Physical Skills
• Walk from one campus facility to another
• Spend extended periods of time sitting and standing
• Ability to lift, move, and carry objects up to 30 lbs.
• Have adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone, on computer, and in writing; requires the ability to identify, observe and assess visual color discrimination and depth perception
• Ability to reach with hands and arms; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls (e.g. mouse, keyboard, telephone, equipment); also requires arm-hand steadiness, manual dexterity, and the ability to make precisely coordinated movement.
• Has driver’s license and ability and willingness to drive students for school related events.
