Exciting campus developments include the recent opening of a new student commons building and School of Pharmacy building Position Description: The Assistant Residence Director (ARD) is a female 10-month, full-time, live-in position who is to provide support and assistance for the Residence Director (RD) in the supervision and direction of the upperclassman women’s residential learning community. The successful candidate will help create a culture and maintain an environment that challenges students to develop academically, emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually. The candidate must also be able to work with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff and be able to assist students in integrating their faith and living within the residence complex. Specifically, the Assistant Residence Director will focus on relationships and programming for the approximately 150 female students living in the Hope Quad. Each Assistant RD in the Residence Complex has a partnering relationship, 20% of the position, with another office in the Division of Student Life. The partnerships are designed to be a natural and seamless fit within the ARD's role. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree, Masters degree preferred. Prior residential leadership experience is strongly preferred. Successful candidates must be professing Christians who are active members of a local church, enthusiastically support Union University’s Identity, Mission and Core Values, and articulate a Christian worldview in their work and life.
