The students and faculty are online, but what about the staff? How student affairs staff adapt to COVID-19.

Webinar Details: For this workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss seven recommendations for how student affairs staff should be shifting their efforts during this unprecedented era. This workshop is based on Jeff’s recently-published article in Inside Higher Ed entitled Fostering Student Success Outside of Online Classes” which can be accessed here.

 Presenter: Dr. Jeff Doyle currently works in Institutional Effectiveness at Baylor University as the Associate Director for Institutional Planning and Assessment. Prior to his current role at Baylor, Jeff served for nine years as the Dean for Student Learning & Engagement at Baylor, where he oversaw the departments of Campus Living & Learning, New Student Programs, the Academy for Leadership Development, and Student Activities (including Greek Life, Student Organizations, Campus Activities, the Student Union, Waco Hall, and Spirit & Traditions). He also led divisional assessment efforts, guided communication with and outreach to students, and led out on new construction and renovations in Student Life.

Jeff came to Baylor from Appalachian State University where he served as the Director of Residence Life and Adjunct Graduate Faculty in Higher Education from 2003-2010. Prior to that, Jeff worked as the Assistant Vice-President for Student Affairs at Shenandoah University. Jeff has a Ph.D. in higher education administration, a master’s degree in counselor education, and a bachelor’s degree in biology, all from the University of Virginia. He has also spent time working for Eastern Mennonite University, the Federal Executive Institute, Florida State University, and Lynchburg College.
