  <title>Saint Louis, MO: Director Of Academic Success Center at Missouri Baptist University</title>
  <description>DIRECTOR OF ACADEMIC SUCCESS CENTER (ASC)   The Department of Student Development is seeking to hire a Director for the Academic Success Center.  The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.  Masters Degree preferred in the area of counseling, college student personnel or education administration. Background and experience working in an institution of higher learning is desired.  Responsibilities will include coordinating academic support services (i.e. tutorials, reading and writing labs); providing direct administrative oversight to the Coordinator of Testing for the facilitation of services; providing efficient scheduling of activities in support of the ASC and University Assessment Programs; and overseeing Special Needs Access Services.  The Director of the ASC will also work closely with the Director of Admissions, Dean of Academic Advisement and faculty to assist in advising students within the Academic Success Program.   This position will report directly to the Associate Dean of Students. The Assistant Dean will also coordinate the Greeter program and partner with multiple departments in efforts to improve new student (first year and transfer) success. Qualifications: Minimum requirements for the position are: &amp;bull; master's degree in higher education, student development, or a related field &amp;bull; four years of full-time progressively responsible experience in student affairs or related field &amp;bull; demonstrated knowledge of and experience with initiatives for new student success &amp;bull; demonstrated leadership and management abilities &amp;bull; articulated Christian faith Successful candidates will possess a strong record of administration, including experience in organizational development; demonstrated fluency with current research/literature on the first year experience; experience selecting, training, mentoring, and supervising student staff; excellent organizational and administrative skills; knowledge of student development and leadership development theory; an ability to develop inclusive communities; excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to manage conflicts and crisis situations; demonstrated success cultivating relationships and expertise creating collaborative partnerships with staff, faculty, students, and numerous university stakeholder groups; the ability to be innovative in shaping programs and services; a high standard of integrity and excellent judgment; a Christian faith; adaptability, flexibility, and a collegial and engaging interpersonal style. A doctorate and some collegiate level teaching experience are preferred characteristics. Salary: Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.   <title>St. Paul, MN: Assistant Dean for Student Life at Bethel University</title>
  <description>FT, 12 months, exempt  The Office of Student Life is seeking an individual to be  responsible for the oversight and coordinator of the general programs  and projects related to the roles of Student Life.  Position will  coordinate the implementation of division-wide programs that meet  students&amp;rsquo; development needs and address significant campus-wide issues  as they relate to the responsibilities of the Student Life department.   Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:    &amp;bull;	Coordinate the efforts of teams of student life professionals and  partners within the university in initiating, facilitating and  implementing division-wide programs to meet students&amp;rsquo; developmental  needs and to address campus issues, such as diversity, alcohol  education, and relationship enhancement.   &amp;bull;	Serve as a resource person and recommend approaches and content for  educational program planning based on assessment and evaluative data on  student needs and current and future trends.   &amp;bull;	Work in partnership with the Dean of Students and Community Life to  train and advise student members of the Bethel Student Association.   &amp;bull;	 Collaborate with the Dean of Students and Community Life in the  design, coordination and implementation of the division-wide outcome  assessment efforts.   &amp;bull;	Collaborate in the development of assessment reports and the effective communication of assessment results.   &amp;bull;	Collaborate with the Deans of Students and the Associate Dean of  Residence Life in the oversight and implementation of the Student Life  student disciplinary process.   &amp;bull;	Develop expertise in the use of the Conduct Coordinator software  program used for tracking student conduct issues and follow-up.   &amp;bull;	Participate in the training of all student life staff involved in the student conduct process.   &amp;bull;	Design and manage all elements of the Student Life Divisional  communication plan, including but not limited to the website and  publications (in collaboration with Communications and Marketing  Office), student handbook and marketing for divisional events.   &amp;bull;	Maintain policy and procedures and coordinate implementation of the Student Life withdrawal and stop out processes.   &amp;bull;	Maintain policy and procedures and coordinate implementation of the Transcript of Co-Curricular Involvement (TCCI).   &amp;bull;	Coordinate or perform a wide range of ongoing and special projects as  assigned by the Dean of Students and Community Life that require  independent judgment.   &amp;bull;	Serve on the Deans and Directors group and represents student life on select institutional committees.   &amp;bull;	Participate as a team member in the development, planning and evaluation of Student Life programs throughout the department.    Requires a Master&amp;rsquo;s degree in student affairs, college student  personnel, counseling, or a related field, and a minimum of three years  student affairs experience specific to knowing and understanding student  needs and generational characteristics and best program implementation  practices within student affairs to meet those needs.  Requires  knowledge of student development theory and the ability to translate  theory into effective educational programs. Individual must be a team  player with understanding of team dynamics with experience in team  development. Individual must have the ability to work in a professional,  collegial and confidential manner with all staff, students and parents  and proven skills in leadership, organization and working independently  specifically in regard to effective implementation of student programs.  Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills as evidenced by a commitment to  quality relationships, Christ-like service and effectiveness in  developing whole and holy persons is essential. Effective oral and  written communication skills with understanding of how to present  Student Life principles and philosophy is essential.  Proficiency in  word processing and budget management is necessary.
